We have started a series of lectures at our studio that we have wanted to bring to you for a long time.
Past Lectures:

Nutrition and metabolism
Day: Saturday, March 4th, 2017
Time: 6:00pm

About the lecture:
These days we are constantly exposed to a large amount of information (often confusing and contradictory) about nutrition and health.  As we have become more health conscious, we try to eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water and get enough sleep so that we have sufficient energy to carry us through our day. But…do we always make the right decisions? In this lecture we will explore some basic principles of nutrition and human metabolism to get a better sense of how our bodies work.  This will guide to make choices in regard to food and timing that can better support us in our daily activities.

Introduction to Anatomy
Day: Saturday, May 20th, 2017
Time: 6:00pm

About the lecture:
From the moment we get up in the morning, a little over 200 bones engage in movement, together with their related ligaments, tendons, joints and muscles.  We generally take this intricate choreography for granted until we experience some kind of discomfort in any of these constituents of our body (even if it is just a gentle call from a long forgotten muscle after a strenuous workout session).  In this lecture we will explore topics such as what our bones, tendons, ligaments and muscles are made of, how they work (and sometimes over work) and what to do to keep them healthy.  We will also present some basic chemistry of movement and talk about something extremely important for all of us, regardless of what we do: posture.  The information Dr. Geetha Rajendran will present is beneficial for every body regardless our current activities.
